E-Tutoring Appointments
E-tutoring appointments are asynchronous and offer you the opportunity to receive feedback from a tutor when you submit your paper on our e-tutoring schedule. Your appointment can be scheduled Sunday through Thursday, and your paper will need to be attached to your appointment. Your tutor will then download your paper and begin responding the following day. You will receive your response via email (and also linked to your appointment in WCOnline) within 48 hours after the appointment day.
Appointment Guidelines
- Appointments can be made Sunday through Thursday when classes are in session. You will receive a response from your tutor within 48 hours after the day of the appointment.
- Your paper must be attached to your appointment in order for your tutor to work with your writing.
- Please attach your paper as a Word document; if you do not have access to Word, it is available through your SDSU account. Please email the Center if you have questions about this.
- Tutors can only read and respond to shorter papers (up to 6 pages) in a single e-tutoring appointment as the appointments are 30 minutes. For longer papers, please plan on making multiple appointments (either on the online schedule or over several weeks on the e-tutoring schedule).
- You will receive an email from the writing center to your SDSU email address when your tutor’s response is ready. The file will be attached to that email.
- You can also find your tutor’s response by going to your WCOnline appointment and downloading the attached file, which will be labeled with “tutor response.”
- If you have questions about your tutor’s response, please email [email protected].
- Only one e-tutoring appointment per student per week is currently allowed.
- Please do not submit papers for proofreading via this schedule. If you have questions about grammar or punctuation, please list them in the form and the tutor will respond to those two issues.
